Mehmet Avcu is an Istanbul-and-Brussels based actor, instructor and voiceover artist whose work is built at the intersection of analytical discipline and creative curiosity. After a distinguished 24-year career as a naval officer—retiring as a Navy Captain in 2023—he turned fully to a lifelong passion for performance. Mehmet’s professional and academic background (M.Sc. from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering) gives him a rare combination of exacting structure and calm leadership that he brings directly into the rehearsal room.
He trained as an actor at Müjdat Gezen Art Center and completed the four-year program consisting of all foundational and advanced acting courses at Craft Acting Studio in Istanbul. His practice is rooted in Eric Morris and Meisner techniques, supported by on-camera work and vocal coaching. Mehmet’s stage and screen credits range from theatre productions such as Werther Effect to award-nominated short films including Posa (Adana Golden Boll Film Festival) and Güntülü Does Not Exist (International Mythology Film Festival). He is bilingual in Turkish and English and works regularly as an actor and a voiceover artist.
As an instructor Mehmet pairs military-grade structure with a warm, permission-giving rehearsal room: precise, organised, and encouraging of honest risk. His classes emphasise practical, repeatable tools for immediate use — whether you’re preparing an audition, rehearsing a run, or stepping in front of a camera or people — and place special importance on safety, ensemble listening and emotional reliability. Mehmet currently runs focused workshops on Eric Morris and Meisner techniques, private coaching and masterclasses in Brussels and Istanbul. His sessions are designed to help actors at any level move from “performing” into genuinely lived behaviour.

Petar Leventić graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. In 2004, he became a permanent member of the Zagreb Youth Theater.
