Zinneke Parade 2026

A free series of workshops between January and May, culminating in a performance as part of Brussels' biennial Zinneke Parade.

Sign up now

The Zinneke Parade gathers around 2000 community members to perform in a huge parade that runs through the streets of Brussels on

Saturday 30 May 2026.

Participants in this workshop will perform as part of a larger group, together with members of other communities, including school pupils and patients from a psychiatric hospital. The Zinneke Parade is an event that

brings Brussels together.

The Details

What ?

This workshop is an opportunity to take part in one of Brussels most known and creative and colorful community events which takes place every year.

Workshop participants will join forces with groups from other organisations in the Brussels community (this year a group of school pupils and patients from a psychiatric hospital) to create a unique theatrical performance which will be presented as a part of the parade.

This workshop not just about the final performance; it is about getting to know other creative people, connecting with people from across Brussels, and being part of something bigger. Nevertheless, we do ask for a good level of commitment, especially in the run up to the event. As with all of our workshops, we expect you to be able to be present at 70% of the sessions.

How ?

You will work on creating and rehearsing the act that will be performed during the parade both as part of a small Bridge team on Monday evenings, and as part of a bigger group (collective moments, known as STOEMPs) on Saturdays.

The final performance will incorporate elements of acting, music and movement.

Where ?

The workshop location is at Zinneke HQ: Place Masui 13, Brussels 1000 (nearest stop: Masui)

When ?

This workshop will include 12 Bridge team sessions on Mondays 19:00-21:00 and 5 STOEMPs (collective group sessions) on Saturdays afternoons, plus one final rehearsal and the parade itself.  All of these will be spread from mid-January to end of May. Below you'll find the exact dates and times:

How Much ?
