    Upcoming Workshops

Saturday 15 November, Focusing on the Unsaid with Jade

What's in a movement? Come explore character building from "without". Focusing on the given circumstances and physical truth of a character draws in audiences, allowing them to be totally invested in a character's humanity, before they ever utter a word. In the first half of class, we will explore basic movement elements from Rudolf von Laban and other theater practitioners before moving onto text and subtext (the unsaid). This course is good for anyone interested in character building, theater devising, and scene work.

Saturday 22 November, Intimacy On Stage with Rozana

This workshop is dedicated to all the performers from the artistic world who want to explore and understand how intimacy on stage can change the narrative. The exercises you will learn, inspired from Spolin, Meisner, Stanislavski, but also from the improvisational theatre will gently teach you ways of exploring your physical and emotional availability, more truthfully and impactful. All of this, in a safe and positive environment, adapted to your own needs and capabilities and in sync with the ones of your stage partners.

Saturday 29 November, Exploring Alter Egos and Character-Driven Stand-Up with Kym

This playful, practical workshop explores the power of comedic personas - from bold alter egos to subtle character shifts. Dive into the world of character-based stand-up comedy, where exaggeration, alter egos, and comedic personas open up fresh and unexpected ways to connect with an audience. Step outside yourself and into a whole new voice! Through guided exercises and performance prompts, participants will experiment with physicality, voice, and perspective to bring new characters to life. You'll learn how adopting an alter ego can unlock creative freedom, build confidence on stage, and add unique depth and versatility to your performance.

Saturday 6 December, Chekhov Meets Chekhov with Petar

What happens when the master of Russian realism, Anton Chekhov, meets his inventive nephew, Michael Chekhov? This masterclass brings together the classic monologues of Anton Chekhov with the powerful physical and psychological techniques of his nephew, Michael Chekhov. In this workshop, we’ll tackle some of Chekhov’s iconic monologues, exploring them through the lens of Michael Chekhov’s theatrical techniques, as well as drawing from other sources in the world of theatre.

Saturday 17 January, Character Development with Desi

This workshop helps actors explore and build authentic, multi-dimensional characters. Through specific exercises, improvisation, and scene work, participants will learn how to connect emotionally with their roles. We will explore the 4 truths about building a character - motivations, emotional connection, self love and physical embodiment.

Saturday 24 January, Boost Your Stage Creativity with Petar

Boost your stage creativity with a masterclass that blends individual and group exercises from diverse theatre and coaching schools. This interactive experience encourages collaboration, spontaneity, and ensemble dynamics, helping you unlock your creative potential on stage and in life. Gain practical tools to expand your creative range, improve confidence in spontaneous thinking and performance, and enhance your collaboration skills, all while deepening your understanding of creativity across artistic disciplines.

Saturday 31 January, The Speaking Body with Anne

This workshop focuses on the communicative potential of the moving body and on freeing the body-mind and imagination through movement. We will work with various psycho-physical performance practices, exploring breath and movement, physical centers, the senses, the projection and reception of energy, space and atmosphere, and qualities of movement. We will move and dance individually, in pairs, and as an ensemble, exploring presence and connection. By cultivating deep listening and trust, we aim to release inhibitions and open up a wider range of possibilities for human behavior.

Saturday 7 February, Introduction to Greek Tragedy with Billy

Greek Tragedies keep inspiring us for centuries by teaching us about human nature and fragility. In this workshop I will guide you through the dramatic techniques of Greek tragedy, bold storytelling, heightened emotion and the power of the chorus. We will explore fate, hubris, nemesis and catharsis and gain insight into both the historical context and the enduring theatrical power of Greek tragedy.! Let's embrace the tragic and the epic.

Saturday 21 February, Shakespeare's Text: Mining for Actors with Tom

Shakespeare’s verse can be like a labyrinth: his thicket of stacked ideas and structural choices (alliteration, meter) has so many pitfalls that actors sometimes wonder if the material was intended for scholars more than performers!  But the truth is: he cared most about us.  He wanted to guide the actor, to gift us the richest possible material, with which we can best draw in and dazzle the audience at every level: to make them see, hear, think, and feel the most possible layers in the shortest space of time. Despite his lack of stage directions, our directorial playwright has left clues everywhere for the actor who knows how to dig beyond the surface. For that actor, the labyrinth quickly becomes a goldmine.  Whether you are starting out or looking for a refresher, come spend a few hours mining the text.

Saturday 28 February, Mastering TragiComedy: The Fine Line Between Laughter and Pain with Kym

This playful workshop dives into the fine line between comedy and heartbreak - inspired by the darkly funny world of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's award-winning TV series, Fleabag. We'll explore how confession, tension and stillness create moments that are both hilarious and human. Through practical exercises and scene work, you'll discover how silence, rhythm and vulnerability can turn pain into laughter - and laughter into connection. Expect a fast-paced, reflective and joyful session that celebrates the messy beauty of tragicomedy!

Saturday 7 March, Art as Muse: Shaping Performance with Petar

Join our theatre masterclass where the first part focuses on clarifying and deepening your character work—helping you understand their motivations, emotions, and unique traits. Then, explore the rich world of other art forms like music, painting…  to fuel your creativity and inspire your theatre material. By discovering how different arts express emotion and story, you’ll find fresh ways to bring your character and performance to life with new energy and perspective. This workshop is all about expanding your creative toolbox and connecting theatre with the wider world of artistic expression.

Saturday 14 March, Movement and Physical Theatre with Desi

The class focuses on storytelling through the body rather than words. Using movement, gesture, and physical expression, participants explore emotion, character, and narrative in a dynamic way. It encourages creativity, awareness, and collaboration, helping actors communicate without relying on dialogue.

Saturday 21 March, Meisner and Shakespeare with Rozana

This course is invaluable for anyone performing, teaching, studying or simply wanting a new way to enjoy Shakespeare. Shakespeare writes about the truth in human relationships and human hearts. Sanford Meisner's work unlocks truthful acting. Even though the latter says 'text is your greatest enemy', the tools of 'acting is reacting' can be used to discover the infinite freedom within the apparent constraints of the playwright's text. In this course, we will explore together natural ways of making them a perfect match.

Saturday 11 April, Method Acting I with Desi

This immersive Method Acting workshop is designed to help actors deeply connect with their characters through emotional truth and personal experience. Participants will explore core techniques developed by Stanislavski, Strasberg, and Adler, including sense memory, affective memory, and working on psychological gesture. Through scene work and exercises, we will learn how to access emotions, build believable characters, and bring depth and honesty in the performance. Ideal for actors of all levels looking to refine their craft and expand their emotional range.

Saturday 18 April, Storytelling and the Power of Comedy with Kym

Learn how great comedians transform everyday moments into unforgettable stories. Through hands-on exercises and lively analysis, you'll explore what makes the best comic storytellers so compelling - and uncover the techniques that make their work resonate with audiences. You'll also discover how humour brings stories to life, making them more human, relatable, and memorable. This workshop is ideal for anyone interested in writing or performing stories - or simply exploring how comedy can deepen personal expression and connection.

Saturday 25 April, Spatial Relationships in Theatre - Movement, Shapes, Meaning with Billy

In theatre, where and how performers exist in space can transform the meaning of a single word, gesture, or moment. This workshop explores the power of spatial relationships between actors, audience and environment and will turn this knowledge into a tool for acting and directing. Through practical exercises you will experiment with proximity, distance, direction and levels to discover how physical positioning alters emotional tone, character dynamics and even narrative.

Saturday 2 May, Being the Grey Character with Desi

In this workshop, actors dive into the world of morally complex “grey” characters — individuals who are neither purely good nor bad. The goal is to create layered, authentic performances that reflect the true complexity of human nature. We will explore the 6 tyrants - Anger, Fear, Jealousy, Desire, Pleasure and Pain - and how they can be used to shape and deepen a character.

Saturday 9 May, The Power of Connection with Petar

Join our theatre masterclass and dive into the heart of great performance: the bond between scene partners. Built around the idea that acting is reacting, this workshop will help you develop trust, presence, and real connection on stage. Through partner-based exercises and scene work, you'll learn to listen deeply, respond truthfully, and create authentic, dynamic relationships that bring any story to life.

Saturday 16 May, The Art of Being Present: An Introduction to the Meisner Technique with Mehmet

Are you often “in your head” on stage? Do you find yourself thinking about your next line instead of experiencing the moment? Are you “acting” instead of reacting? The Meisner Technique is designed to get you out of your head and into the present moment. Founded on the principle of “living truthfully,” this technique dismantles the idea of “performing” and replaces it with the reality of “doing”. It’s about learning to trust your instincts and respond with gut-level honesty to what is actually happening in front of you, right now.

Saturday 30 May, Method Acting II with Desi

This workshop is designed as an extension to Method Acting I. Participants should have completed a previous Method Acting workshop with Desi.

Saturday 6 June, Michael Chekhov with Rozana

Michael Chekhov developed an acting technique, a 'pshyco - physical approach', in which transformation, working with impulse, imagination and inner and outer gesture are central. It offers clear and practical tools in working with imagination, feelings and atmosphere. This course will introduce you into the secrets of this technique, taking your acting skills to new levels of truth and craftmanship.

Saturday 13 June, Stop ‘Acting,’ Start ‘Being’: An Introduction to the Eric Morris System with Mehme

Have you ever felt like a “liar” on stage? Have you ever “faked” an emotion, knowing deep down that you weren’t truly connected to it? The Eric Morris System is a powerful and practical approach built on one radical idea: “No Acting Please”. It is not about “showing” an audience an emotion; it is about achieving a “State of Being” where you, the actor, are actually experiencing the character’s reality.
