There are now TWO separate course tracks.

Musical Theatre Academy - Sundays, 12:45 - 15:45

Our Musical Theatre Academy puts an emphasis on long term skill development and a more in depth work process towards a grand end of year showcase. The Musical Theatre Academy is a 30-week programme, broken down into three 10-week modules. Module 1 will focus on technique, Module 2 will focus on performance preparation, and Module 3 will culminate in a joint performance with other workshop participants at a larger Showcase in a theatre.

Entrance to the Academy is decided based on a Audition session, which will take place on Sunday 14 September, 12:45 - 15:45. Academy members will be asked to commit to at least 8 sessions in every 10-week period.

To sign up for the Audition Session participants need to first register to the workshop and then email us at info@thebridge.brussels

Participants who are not placed in the Academy following the Audition session will participate in the standard Workshop.

The standard Musical Theatre Workshop - Sundays, 16:00 - 19:00

The standard Musical Theatre Workshop is a 10-week course in which you will learn material from a specific musical. At the end of the 10 weeks, you will perform a short showcase in our Studio. The standard workshop is open to everyone but you must attend at least 7 sessions within each 10-week course to be eligible to perform in the final showcase.

There is a single registration for both the standard Workshop and the Academy.

Those who are interested in attending the Academy should additionally email us: info@thebridge.brussels in order to add your name for the Audition session.

The Details

Who ?

We will gather a group of up to 20 people for either a course of 30 weeks (Academy) or 10 Weeks (standard) in which you will develop your skills. We have different levels depending on your experience. You must agree to be able to attend at least 7 sessions in a 10 week Module.

Where ?

The Bridge Studio, Chaussee de Forest 83, St Gilles.

Please note, there are stairs to enter the venue and it is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

When ?

The Academy is a 30-week course which is divided to three 10-week sessions, with start dates in September, January and April.

The standard workshop is a 10-week course, with three courses running per year.

Please see the dates below for more details.

What ?

You will have tuition in acting, singing and dancing that will enable you to explore your on-stage creativity in a safe and supportive environment. As you progress, you will learn to integrate these three disciplines into a holistic performance.

The standard workshop will use one musical for its 10-weeks as a base for our work, which we will then perform in a final showcase for family and friends in The Bridge Theatre Studio. This Autumn term will focus on the hit musical Wicked!

The Academy is divided into 3 periods:

The first 10 weeks (MODULE 1) is focused on technique.

The second 10 weeks (MODULE 2) is focused on performance preparation.

The final 10 weeks (MODULE 3) focuses on rehearsals for an End of Year showcase performance.

During each module, we will use a different musical to base our work. We have carefully selected musicals that will best enable you to progress. Some you will know well, others might be unfamiliar to you. Our Workshop is as much a chance for you to improve your skills as it is an opportunity to discover more gems within the world of musical theatre.

How Much ?

€395 for each ten-week block.

SAVE 20% by booking 30 weeks in advance!

Be a Star on Sundays

Get creative

Our Musical Theatre Workshops are the perfect way to let your hair down before the start of another week.

For a few hours hours on a Sunday, our expert workshop leaders will work with you in three different disciplines: acting, singing and dancing.

Meet new people

Our Musical Theatre Workshops are for people who want to get singing, acting and dancing in a non-judgemental setting. Our workshop leaders enable everyone to feel comfortable. We welcome people with little or no prior experience in musical theatre.

Our groups are capped at 20 people. Our small groups are a great chance to meet people in Brussels with similar interests.

For all aged 16 and over.

Just for fun

For the Academy, each MODULE runs for 10 weeks.

In MODULE 1, we take time to focus on building your technique and skills in each of the disciplines. For the higher levels, there will be chances to practice integrating the disciplines towards the end of the term.

In MODULE 2, we will work towards a mini-showcase that you will perform to an invited audience. There will be more integration during this term, with the Advanced Level having the chance to progress on acting through song.

In MODULE 3, we will rehearse for a Community End-of-year Showcase that will be performed at Zinnema in Anderlecht.
