tick, tick... BOOM!

Originating from the North East of England, Mal initially trained as a performer, gaining a degree in Musical Theatre from Arts Educational Schools London. After graduating, Mal decided to concentrate on a career as a Musical Director, and quickly began working as a rehearsal/audition pianist and vocal coach in London, whilst also teaching at ArtsEd and Emil Dale Academy. Since 2018, Mal has been the resident Musical Director for the English Theatre Frankfurt, conducting every performance of Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, and Young Frankenstein, and from 2022 also took on the role of Musical Supervisor for Sister Act, Something Rotten!, and Nunsense. Prior to this, Mal was the Associate Musical Director for the UK tour of Summer Holiday, and Musical Director for the brand new Bananaman the Musical, which he took through every workshop stage to full production at Southwark Playhouse, London (“Mal Hall’s musical direction flies better than Bananaman ever could” - Metro). He made his professional debut as Musical Director for an actor/ musician production of Piaf at the Charing Cross Theatre in London, and was also Assistant Musical Director for the original workshop of Girl From the North Country at The Old Vic, London. Mal is a keen cook - pizzas and curries are his specialities - and spends time between contracts at his new home on the North East coast in Whitley Bay, which is where he also gets to watch and support his favourite team as a season ticket holder at Newcastle United Football Club. Mal is very excited to be joining The Bridge Theatre, Brussels for their first musical Tick, Tick… Boom!, and also to experience Brussels for the very first time.

Ben trained in Lighting Design at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

He won the 2025 Olivier Award for Best Lighting Design for his work on Oliver! and has been nominated for the Off West End Award for Best Lighting Design four times, as well as winning the award in 2018 and 2022.

Pianist and conductor Pietro Ramman graduated in 1995 from the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Music (Antwerp).

In 1996, he unexpectedly began his musical theatre journey as a pianist in the production “Cats” (Music Hall). Since then, he has worked as a musician and rehearsal pianist in more than 100 productions, including Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Dracula, Tintin and the Temple of the Sun, Into The Woods, Peter Pan – The Never Ending Story, Scrooge and numerous of Studio 100 musicals such as Snow White, Daens, Robin Hood, Sleeping Beauty, The Three Little Pigs, and Alice in Wonderland (with K3).

In 2000 - 2001, Pietro launched the Danish production of The Phantom of the Opera in Copenhagen.

In 2003, he performed with the VRO Orchestra on the soundtrack for the Golden Globe winning movie The Aviator (starring Leonardo DiCaprio), conducted by the famous composer Howard Shore. 

From 2006, Pietro increasingly took on the role of conductor, leading productions such as Mamma Mia, Édith and Simone, Grease, Annie, The Sound of Music, Rent, Blood Brothers, Jekyll & Hyde, Josephine B. and many more.

In 2020, Pietro celebrated his 100th production with Mamma Mia! (Deep Bridge), a milestone that was unfortunately cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, but which went on to become a huge success in Flanders during the 2021/2022 season. This was followed by RENT, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Hairspray and Pretty Woman.

Today, Pietro is a high demand pianist, frequently collaborating with production companies, workshops, choirs, press events, auditions, musical theatre launches and concerts with artists.

For the past 17 years, he has also been a senior lecturer in Audition Training and accompanist at the Erasmus University College in Brussels (EHB).

Graduated from the IAD in 1994, passionate about music and sound, Vincent quickly launched himself into the entertainment industry. For four years, he was a partner and manager of the DClick studio (Brussels). Recordings and tours followed before being entrusted with the mixing of the musical "Les Misérables" in Antwerp. Eager to acquire firsthand knowledge, he participated in the United Kingdom tour of The Phantom of the Opera before becoming the 2nd sound engineer for the Dutch version in Antwerp. Many other collaborations followed,  as front-of-house sound engineer, systems engineer, production engineer, and sound designer. on various musicals including The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Fiddler on the Roof, Tintin Temple of the Sun, Alice in Wonderland, Mozart the Musical, Daens, Les parapluies de Cherbourg, Singing in the Rain, The Sound of Music, and many others. In 2020, Vincent became the sound designer for  Bruxellons! festival, including the French premieres of My Fair Lady, Blood Brother, Elizabeth, West Side Story, Come from Away, Rebecca, Goodbye Norma Jeanne. Over his 30-plus-year career, he worked with numerous artists: K3, Lubiana, Laura Tesoro, Odex Protocol, Pierre Vervloesem, Jay Conrad, Urban Trad, Sam Bettens and  many others. He collaborated for several Luc Petit projects, including the Qingshow in China and several shows with the Mozan Orchestra. Vincent is also part of the sound engineering team for the Fez Sacred Music Festival in Morocco. He also works regularly with the contemporary music ensemble Ictus and Rosas, in collaboration with Alex Fostier. He is also the sound engineer for several studio100 productions, including K3. Vincent was also professor in charge of the course "sound in musical theatre" at the PXLMusic High school in Hasselt, Belgium.
